One of the most meaningful ways people interact is by sharing their stories and experiences. Over the years, GoPro has been a catalyst enabling people to create compelling images and videos that inspire, inform, entertain and amaze. This unique ability to connect people and create a strong emotional bond is what I believe makes the GoPro brand so special.

I am excited to announce that I've officially joined the GoPro Board of Directors. Since my first purchase of the HERO2 camera, I've admired the innovative and thoughtfully designed GoPro products. But it is GoPro's mission to be a force for positivity, celebrate all things awesome in the world, and inspire people to live active lifestyles that really resonates with me.

A brief bit of background on me. After graduating from Cornell, I started my career as a food scientist. I enjoyed the challenge of inventing new products, but I quickly realized that my ambition was to run a company someday. After earning my MBA at Wharton, I focused on gaining skills that would make me a well-rounded leader - first as a partner at a consulting firm, then moving into e-commerce, and later focusing on marketing and branding. With those experiences in hand, I felt prepared to run a business and fulfilled that dream first at Nike, then as President/CEO of Lucy Activewear, and subsequently as CEO of Gymboree. I particularly enjoy working with companies that have a passionate consumer base.

I'm proud to be part of a company like GoPro where its strengths like ingenuity, values, verve and humility are applied to its business daily. I look forward to collaborating with Nick Woodman and the board of directors in addition to the talented GoPro team to help the company reach new heights.
