PRESS RELEASE

BLOOD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: GPI SIGNS IMPORTANT CONTRACTS IN SWITZERLAND, FRANCE, BELGIUM, ALBANIA, MALAYSIA AND THE USA.

AUTOMATION SECTOR GROWS IN AUSTRIA

Trento, 10 November

The Gpi Group has acquired important new customers in the Blood Management System sector: the Albanian Transfusion Centres, City of Hope in California (USA) and the Stiftung Blutspende SRK Ostschweiz (Blood Donation Foundation of Eastern Switzerland). These contracts come in addition to others in Belgium, Malaysia and France.

The wide range of solutions offered by Gpi in the transfusion systems sector allows it to provide each customer with systems with a high degree of customisation. For example, in the Swiss case the agreement includes the supply of an eHematos software solution, which improves process quality with reduced transmission errors and costs. This increases patient safety because the solution requires that the entire blood pathway, from donor to recipient, be mapped by the eHematos software.

Drug logistics are also making progress, with three new contracts for the supply of Riedl Phasys automated cabinets to as many Austrian pharmacies.

The total value of the new contracts is about EUR 3 million, an important commercial development in the Gpi Group's internationalisation.
