Gravita India Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was INR 6,826.9 million compared to INR 5,464.9 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 6,896.1 million compared to INR 5,502.6 million a year ago. Net income was INR 445.7 million compared to INR 369.5 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 6.59 compared to INR 5.46 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 6.59 compared to INR 5.46 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 12,623.9 million compared to INR 9,928.7 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 13,196.2 million compared to INR 9,976.9 million a year ago. Net income was INR 870.9 million compared to INR 587.3 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 12.87 compared to INR 8.68 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 12.87 compared to INR 8.68 a year ago.
Gravita India Limited is engaged in lead processing, aluminum processing, trading lead products and aluminum scrap, and dealing in turn-key lead recycling projects. The Company's segments include Lead processing, Aluminum processing, Turn-key solutions, and Plastic manufacturing. Its Lead processing segment includes smelting of lead battery scrap / lead concentrate to produce secondary lead metal, which is further transformed into pure lead, specific lead alloy, lead oxides, including lead sub-oxide, red lead and litharge, and lead products, such as lead sheets, lead powder, lead shot and others. Its Aluminum processing segment includes trading of taint tabor and tense aluminum scraps, and manufacturing of alloys from melting of aluminum scrap. Its Turn-key solution segment includes a complete supply of plant and machinery related to lead manufacturing plants. It globally operates in Ghana, Senegal, Mozambique, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Nicaragua, and Singapore.
