VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Great Panther Silver Ltd. (GPL) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $13.6 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had profit of 4 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 2 cents per share.

The silver mining company posted revenue of $68.7 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported net income of $334,000, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $260.8 million.

The company's shares closed at 90 cents. A year ago, they were trading at 51 cents.
