PASADENA, Calif. (AP) _ Green Dot Corp. (GDOT) on Tuesday reported second-quarter earnings of $3.3 million.

The Pasadena, California-based company said it had net income of 6 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 43 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 31 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $316.2 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $300 million, which also beat Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $238.4 million.

Green Dot shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $53.70, a climb of 15% in the last 12 months.
