GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands (AP) _ Greenlight Capital Re Ltd. (GLRE) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $628,000, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands-based company said it had net income of 2 cents per share.
The property and casualty reinsurance service provider posted revenue of $134.5 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $136.5 million.
Greenlight Capital Re shares have increased 19% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $8.70, a climb of 33% in the last 12 months.
