We want Greggs to have a positive impact on people's lives and believe it is our responsibility to do business in a way that benefits our colleagues, our customers, suppliers and local communities.

The global plastic issue is something we are all aware of and as a responsible business, we're committed to doing all we can to reduce the use of plastic in our business, respect the environment and reduce our impact on the world around us.

We continue to team up with a number of organisations which can help us to achieve this and are proud to support Surfers Against Sewage and their Autumn Beach and River Clean eventsfor the third year running.Taking place between 20thand 28thOctober, these important events provide the coastal community with the opportunity to protect their favourite beaches and to join a growing national movement calling for dramatic action to halt the marine litter crisis. Marine Litter is a man-made problem and has a big impact on the environment and the wildlife that encounters it.

SAS Autumn Beach Clean Series provides coastal communities, (which many of us are a member of or live in close proximity to), with the opportunity to protect their favourite beaches.

Set to be the biggest Beach Clean Series ever, over 20,000 volunteers are expected to sweep over 30 TONNES of marine litter from over 460 beaches and rivers across the UK coastline over the course of the week.
