Greggs is proud to once again support the North East Children's Cancer Run (NECCR), where this year over 8,500 runners from across the North East will pick up the pace at the weekend for the 36th annual Children's Cancer Run. The event will be held at Newcastle Racecourse on Sunday, 20th May.

The Run offers five mile, three mile and 'mini mile' cross country tracks to ensure families and runners of all ages and abilities will be taking part in the fun run, which is one of the largest single charity run events in Europe.

In 2017, the Children's Cancer Run reached a funding milestone raising over £200,000 for research into effective treatments for childhood cancers, adding to the £7 million donated by dedicated NECCR supporters over the past three decades.

Roger Whiteside, Chief Executive, said: 'Greggs is immensely proud to support the Children's Cancer Run and the work of the NECCR for another year. Greggs has been involved with the run since the very beginning and it has been incredible to see first-hand the hugely positive impact that the funds raised has on the lives of children affected by cancer.'

Thank you to all our customers, colleagues and other supporters whose dedication and commitment continue to make this event an incredible success.
