Grindrod : Cheryl Carolus was elected the new Chair of Grindrod Limited

Following Grindrod's AGM on 3 June 2022, Mike Hankinson retired as director and Chairman of the Board of Grindrod Limited. Mike has handed over the torch to Cheryl, who was appointed to the board of Grindrod as an independent non-executive director effective from 01 October 2021. Cheryl is an immensely experienced director and has served on the boards of numerous listed companies, including Gold Fields, De Beers, and Investec. Mike served as a director on the board for twelve years and as Chairman for eight years. We are immeasurably grateful for Mike's steady stewardship, leadership, and unwavering service during his tenure as director. We look forward to Cheryl's leadership as Grindrod continues to implement its core business strategy and positively contribute to Africa's trade with the world.
