Grupa Azoty extends its agreement with Jaskółka Tarnów
Grupa Azoty and Jaskółka Tarnów have signed a three-year agreement securing funding for the Tarnów-based handball club until the end of the 2023/2024 season. Starting from the 2021/2022 season, the team will play under the name of Grupa Azoty Unia Tarnów. This means that after a ten-year break the historical middle name 'Unia' will once again be part of the club's official name.
The agreement is a continuation of Grupa Azoty's efforts to support important sports initiatives in Tarnów that extend beyond the region and become nationwide events.
The key benefits under the agreement are the inclusion of Grupa Azoty in the name of the team entered for the league games by the club, logos featured on the team's uniforms, and the Main Partner title granted to Grupa Azoty.
'Grupa Azoty recognises the development potential and achievements of the Tarnów-based handball team, qualifying for the Polish Cup finals and European cups, and the growing popularity of handball among members of the local community. For many years now, Grupa Azoty has been a patron of ambitious athletes who pursue their goals, fight and successfully compete in the most important national events. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers - by choosing Grupa Azoty branded products they are also patrons of sports and culture,' said Tomasz Hinc, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A.
In addition to the Grupa Azoty brand, the club will also promote the company's fertilizer brand, Saletromag, in the 2021/2022 season.
