Grupo Bafar, S.A.B. De C.V. Announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2020. For the fourth quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 4,623.555 million compared to MXN 4,016.017 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 586.489 million compared to MXN 442.237 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 553.159 million compared to MXN 628.737 million a year ago. For the full year, sales was MXN 16,272.200 million compared to MXN 15,272.579 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 1,827.084 million compared to MXN 1,315.477 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 825.284 million compared to MXN 738.193 million a year ago.
Grupo Bafar SAB de CV is a Mexico-based holding company principally engaged, through its subsidiaries, in the food industry. The Company operates through seven business divisions: Consumption Products Division (DPC), which is engaged in the supply of meat, processed meats and dairy products; Retail, which operates the CarneMart and BIF stores; Manufacturing; Logistics, active in the storage and distribution of the products; Cattle Trade, engaged in the breeding of cattle and supplies BIF stores with meat; Poultry Division, responsible for the production and sale of poultry and eggs, and Exports. In addition, the Company markets its products under such brands as Parma, Campestre, Sabori, Bafar, Burr, La Zona, Tres Castillos and Western Grillers, among others. The Company is also active in the provision of travel agency services. As of December 31, 2011 the Company owned such subsidiaries as Intercarnes SA de CV and Intercarnes Texas Co, Cibalis SA de CV and Aiax SA de CV, among others.
