Grupo Bafar, S.A.B. De C.V. Announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 4,935.645 million compared to MXN 3,736.624 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 524.490 million compared to MXN 331.301 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 425.585 million compared to MXN 277.008 million a year ago. For the half year, sales was MXN 9,363.495 million compared to MXN 7,689.852 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 1,114.501 million compared to MXN 810.553 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 704.612 million compared to net loss of MXN 77.085 million a year ago.
Grupo Bafar SAB de CV is a Mexico-based holding company principally engaged, through its subsidiaries, in the food industry. The Company operates through seven business divisions: Consumption Products Division (DPC), which is engaged in the supply of meat, processed meats and dairy products; Retail, which operates the CarneMart and BIF stores; Manufacturing; Logistics, active in the storage and distribution of the products; Cattle Trade, engaged in the breeding of cattle and supplies BIF stores with meat; Poultry Division, responsible for the production and sale of poultry and eggs, and Exports. In addition, the Company markets its products under such brands as Parma, Campestre, Sabori, Bafar, Burr, La Zona, Tres Castillos and Western Grillers, among others. The Company is also active in the provision of travel agency services. As of December 31, 2011 the Company owned such subsidiaries as Intercarnes SA de CV and Intercarnes Texas Co, Cibalis SA de CV and Aiax SA de CV, among others.
