Grupo Comercial Chedraui, S.A.B. DE C.V. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported sales of MXN 33,900,668,000 compared with MXN 31,758,113,000 for the same period last year. Operating income was MXN 1,689,259,000 compared with MXN 1,571,999,000 for the same period last year. EBITDA was MXN 2,310,814,000 compared with MXN 2,238,233,000 for the same period last year. Income before taxes was MXN 1,262,907,000 compared with MXN 1,100,548,000 for the same period last year. Consolidated net income was MXN 884,035,000 compared with MXN 858,428,000 for the same period last year.
For the six months, the company reported net income was MXN 1,262,907,000 compared with MXN 1,100,548,000 for the same period last year. Cash flows used in operating activities was MXN 2,795,741,000 compared with MXN 1 1,402,848,000 for the same period last year. Purchase of property and equipment was MXN 701,249,000 compared with MXN 882,348,000 for the same period last year.
