Grupo Energía Bogotá S.A. E.S.P. Announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was COP 1,330,080 million compared to COP 1,155,886 million a year ago. Operating income was COP 443,538 million compared to COP 426,828 million a year ago. Net income was COP 655,124 million compared to COP 577,234 million a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was COP 2,563,820 million compared to COP 2,477,678 million a year ago. Operating income was COP 846,892 million compared to COP 855,805 million a year ago. Net income was COP 1,157,260 million compared to COP 1,215,372 million a year ago.
Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (GEB), formerly Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP, is a Colombia-based company engaged in the natural gas utilities industry. The Company's activities are divided into four segments: Natural Gas Distribution, responsible for the distribution of natural gas through mains to individual and commercial customers; Natural Gas Transmission, offering transportation of natural gas to cities; Electricity Distribution, distributing electric power to individual and commercial customers, and Electricity Transmission, operating power transmission systems. In addition, the Company offers engineering and leasing services, as well as additional services related to electricity and natural gas. It operates in Colombia, Peru and Guatemala, among others. The Company is controlled by Capital District of Bogota, a local government.
