Grupo Gigante, S. A. B. de C. V. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was MXN 7,727.76 million compared to MXN 6,630.7 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 1,043.9 million compared to net loss of MXN 324.64 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.05 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 0.15 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.05. Basic earnings per share was MXN 1.05 compared to basic loss per share of MXN 0.32 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.27. Basic earnings per share was MXN 1.27 compared to basic loss per share of MXN 2.27 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was MXN 1.27 compared to diluted loss per share of MXN 2.27 a year ago.

The Retail segment includes specialized stores, which sell office supplies and furniture, as well as office electronics and housewares. The Restaurants segment includes family restaurant chain that offers dishes and service in a casual environment. The Real Estate segment includes development of investment property, retail stores, shopping malls and corporate office buildings leased to tenants, as well as development of housing for sale. The Specialized Retail segment includes Office Depot, with the Casa Marchand, Fesa and Radio Shack, brands, as well as Grupo Prisa in Chile; Tiendas Home Store, and Petco (Joint Venture). The Restaurants segment is composed of Restaurantes Toks, with the Beer Factory and Restaurantes California brands; Panda Express, a franchise of the gourmet Chinese restaurant, and Cup Stop, offering specialty coffee and baked bread.
