Grupo Palacio de Hierro, S.A.B. de C.V. reported earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2022. For the first quarter, the company reported sales was MXN 8,955.84 million compared to MXN 6,187.67 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 168.29 million compared to net loss of MXN 442.79 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.47 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 1.15 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.47 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 1.15 a year ago.
Grupo Palacio de Hierro SAB De CV is a Mexico-based holding company primarily engaged in the retail sector. The Companyâs main activities include the operation of a network of department stores, outlets, home furnishing and accessories stores, Boutiques Palacio, boutiques, independent restaurants, bistros, restaurant-stores, travel agencies and beauty clinics; as well as a number of restaurants and travel agencies integrated in some of the stores. The Company is also involved in the real estate, through the management and operation of shopping centers located in Coyoacan, Polanco, Puebla and Monterrey. In addition, it offers sales financing services and consumer credits to its clients.
