Grupo Palacio de Hierro, S.A.B. de C.V. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was MXN 10,395.21 million compared to MXN 8,696.01 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 518.69 million compared to MXN 236.11 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.4 compared to MXN 0.65 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.4 compared to MXN 0.65 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was MXN 29,587.44 million compared to MXN 23,095.26 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 1,274.48 million compared to net loss of MXN 21.43 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 3.46 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 0.02 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 3.46 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 0.02 a year ago.
Grupo Palacio de Hierro SAB De CV is a Mexico-based holding company primarily engaged in the retail sector. The Companyâs main activities include the operation of a network of department stores, outlets, home furnishing and accessories stores, Boutiques Palacio, boutiques, independent restaurants, bistros, restaurant-stores, travel agencies and beauty clinics; as well as a number of restaurants and travel agencies integrated in some of the stores. The Company is also involved in the real estate, through the management and operation of shopping centers located in Coyoacan, Polanco, Puebla and Monterrey. In addition, it offers sales financing services and consumer credits to its clients.
