Grupo TMM, S.A.B. Announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021. For the first quarter, the company announced total revenue was MXN 268.2 million compared to MXN 358.9 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 99.9 million compared to operating Income of MXN 15.7 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 78.9 million compared to net income of MXN 13.7 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.8 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of MXN 0.1 a year ago.
Grupo TMM, S.A.B. is a logistics and transportation company. The Company provides ocean transportation services, including maritime, ports and terminals management and logistics services, to clients throughout Mexico. The Company operates in three segments: maritime division, logistics division, and ports and terminals division. The maritime division includes the transportation of liquid petroleum and petrochemical products in bulk, materials and supplies for drilling platforms, as well as tugboat services. The logistics division includes warehousing services and logistics solutions. The ports and terminals division includes terminal services and shipping agency activities. It provides its services through a fleet of approximately 40 vessels, which include product and chemical tankers, harbor tugs and offshore supply vessels. The Company operates three Mexican port facilities, Tuxpan, Tampico and Acapulco.
