Hammerson plc announced that Rita-Rose Gagné has informed the Board of her intention to step down and retire from her position as Chief Executive Officer in 2026. She will remain with the business for the next 12 months to ensure continuity while a successor is identified, allowing for a full handover and orderly transfer of her responsibilities. During her tenure since November 2020, Rita-Rose has driven a substantial turnaround, transforming Hammerson into the largest UK-listed, pure-play owner and manager of prime retail and leisure anchored city destinations.
The Board will commence a formal recruitment process for her successor, with further updates to be provided in due course.
