Hang Lung Earns Top Prize in Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets 2013

(Hong Kong, October 21, 2013) Hang Lung Properties Limited (HKSE stock code: 101) is pleased to announce that Olympia 66, the Company's landmark project in Dalian, has won the top honor in the prestigious 2013 Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets in the category of Retail Project Awards - Future.

Olympia 66 has outshone entrants from emerging markets globally - from Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, Turkey, Russia to Africa - to take home the sole and ultimate accolade in the Retail Projects - Future category. As the international panel of expert judges commented, "This (Olympia 66) is a great example of mega-project mall in emerging markets. The designers have managed to achieve the right balance between retail and entertainment spaces."

Developed by leading international design and architecture consultant Aedas Ltd, Olympia 66 boasts a unique architectural style, with its grand curving geometric design reflecting the concept of the auspicious Chinese Tai Chi twin dancing carps, while at the same time skillfully weaving in Hang Lung Properties' well-established "66" shopping mall brand.

Olympia 66 is scheduled for completion in 2015. Ideally located at Wusi Lu, one of the leading commercial avenues in Dalian, this world-class seven-story shopping mall will present a completely new leisure and lifestyle experience with 221,900 square meters of prime shopping, dining and entertainment space.

Olympia 66 is a perfect showcase of how Hang Lung Properties adeptly manages architectural considerations to maintain the balance between the aesthetics and functionality of its iconic buildings with the wider environmental impacts. The project has already achieved the "Precertification under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Core and Shell Development - Gold Level" issued by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Cityscape Awards reward and celebrate outstanding performance in real estate and architectural design across emerging markets throughout the world. The coveted Cityscape Award is a splendid addition to the succession of industry awards garnered by Olympia 66, speaking volumes for the distinctiveness of the project itself, as well as the renowned commitment to excellence by Hang Lung Properties.
