Silan announces the audio decoder chip SC9688UA with USB, SD card and CD interface

Silan has recently unveiled the audio decoder chip SC9688UA with USB, SD card and CD interface. The SoC integrates audio decoder that can analyze the file system stored in CD, USB disk and SD card to identify, decode and play the audio file automatically. In addition, this device can also save the audio data input from I2S to the file system in USB disk and CD card. The imbedded high performance MCU provides strong support for customer's secondary development. It can be used widely in the consumer audio fields such as desktop audio system and car audio system, etc.

SC9688UA integrates an MCU, a decoder core and a servo control module. MCU is used to realize the main control function, and it can work under various frequencies such as 32KHz, 500KHz, 1MHz, 2MHz, 4MHz, 8MHz, 12MHz and 16MHz, etc. The internal RAM is 256-bytes which can be extended by 51-bytes; while the instruction space can be extended to 8M-bytes via SPIFLASH. The MCU integrates confidential memory unit to control GPIO, Uart, SpiFlash, Key Board, RTC and clock, etc. MCU can start, stop and reset automatically according to the state of the decoder judged by the registers; The MCU is compatible with all the instructions of MCS-51, which can provide strong support for customer's secondary development.

The decoder core is responsible for the fast and efficient decoding of the audio file stored in CD, U disk or SD/MMC card and the music is played through the internal 18-bit DAC. The servo control module supports directly play of CD-DA of CDROM, CDROMXA formats.

SC9861 integrates USB2.0 Full Speed Host transceiver supporting MSC specification, which can play the music files stored in the U disk supporting the USB2.0 Full Speed protocol; the SD/MMC memory card imbedded supports the memory card supporting SD/MMC protocol with capacity of 32MB ~ 32GB, which can compatible with the current mainstream U Disk (including ordinary U disk, mobile hard disk, etc.), SD/MMC and other storage media.

In addition, the device supports MTR counting, IIS interface and four 6-bit ADCs, keys and MCU wake-up function; the built-in confidential memory unit keeps the program in SPIFLASH secret; the integrated RTC is powered independently; It also has calendar function and 128-byte RAM for saving the information when the main circuit is power down.
