Silan releases AC-DC SSR Energy level ICs SDH6963/SDH6964, which are suitable for applications of 10-18W small power adaptor, STB power supplier etc.

SDH6963/SDH6964 both integrate high-voltage EDMOS and high voltage start function with standby power dissipation of 30mW@230Vac; multi-mode control improves efficiency with high/low voltage and full-load, meeting requirements of Energy level Ⅵ and COC5.0.

With Silan's patent EDMOS high voltage start technology, peripheral components such as start resistor is unnecessary, benefiting to reduce total standby power dissipation and to improve light-load efficiency, fast start is available as well. This technology is widely used in Silan's AC-DC, LED lighting products.

PWM+PFM+Burst modes are adopted for control. With heavy load, it works in PWM mode, with light load, it works in PFM mode and with ultra-light load/no-load, it works in Burst mode, partial modules are shut down to reduce switching loss and static power dissipation. Based on detecting the load automatically, the chip select the proper mode to improve the conversion efficiency and to reduce stand-by power dissipation.

Current sense resistor is integrated in the chip for reducing total power dissipation and simplifying the peripheral circuit. Silan's patent technology-- frequency jitter, optimizes EMI characteristics and voltage consistence.

Moreover, various protection guarantees the safety of chip in different condition, such as under voltage lockout, over voltage protection, over load protection, primary winding over current protection and over temperature protection.
