Hanssem Co., Ltd. (KOSE:A009240) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 200,000 shares for KRW 42,500 million, which is based on the closing price of KRW 212,500 per share as on March 16, 2017. The shares will be repurchased on the market through the KOSPI Market. The purpose of the program is to improve the shareholders’ value. The maximum number of shares that the company may repurchase on any day is 20,000 shares. The program will be valid till June 19, 2017. As of March 16, 2017, the company had 5,704,365 shares in treasury within scope available for dividend and had no shares in treasury through other repurchase.
Hanssem Co Ltd is a Korea-based company primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of kitchen and interior furniture. The Company operates its business through three segments: the Kitchen Furniture segment, the Interior Furniture segment and the Other segment. The Company provides furniture used for kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms and other spaces, such as beds, book cases, desks and sofas, chairs, dressers and others. It also provides allied furniture packages and related materials, as well as remodeling services. It is also engaged in the provision of real estate consulting services, and sales of other food. The Company distributes its products through shopping malls, internet shopping malls, sales agencies and interior alliance stores, as well as to overseas markets.
