Hapag-Lloyd AG will be the main sponsor of Handball Sport Verein Hamburg

Handball Sport Verein Hamburg and Hapag-Lloyd AG will be going down a joint path in the future. The world's fifth-largest container shipping company will be the new main sponsor of the newly-formed first division handball club for the next three years.

In addition to the logo on the jersey, Hapag-Lloyd will also be prominently represented in many other places at HSVH home games. In the future, the entrance show will be dominated by the ships and the orange containers. In addition, there will be a new half-time promotion and a container bar very close to the stadium is also currently being planned.

'We are very proud that we could inspire Hapag-Lloyd for us. More Hamburg is not possible! We can only re-establish our sport at the highest level with the support of large, locally rooted companies, and that's why we are all the more pleased about the cooperation with a Hamburg partner that is known worldwide,' explained Managing Director Sebastian Frecke.

Rolf Habben Jansen, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd AG, said: 'We are looking forward to the adventure of the 1st Bundesliga with the HSVH team. The team put in an extremely convincing performance last season and deserved to be promoted. Now we will be working together to maintain and build on this high level. HSVH can count on our full support along the way over the next three years.'

HSVH will face Frisch Auf Göppingen in a home match on the 1st match day of the new season in the Handball Bundesliga.
