The most prestigeous award of the German beer industry was held during the German brewers evening in Ingolstadt. The brewers celebrated the 500 year anniversary of the Reinheitsgebot.

The Reinheitsgebot, also called the 'German Purity Law', is the collective name for a series of regulations limiting the ingredients in beer in Germany. At the celebration in April 2016 Darguner Brauerei GmbH received the 'Bundesehrenpreis' from DLG (the German Agricultural Society). In the beer category Darguner Brauerei GmbH achieved the award of 'honored brewery' by the German Government.
