SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Health Catalyst Inc. (HCAT) on Tuesday reported a loss of $27.3 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Salt Lake City-based company said it had a loss of 68 cents. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, came to 21 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 27 cents per share.
The provider of data analytics for the health care industry posted revenue of $47.2 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $44.7 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Health Catalyst said it expects revenue in the range of $50.5 million to $53.5 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $186.1 million to $189.1 million.
Health Catalyst shares have risen 6% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $36.83, a rise of slightly more than 6% in the last 12 months.
