DRAPER, Utah (AP) _ HealthEquity Inc. (HQY) on Monday reported a fiscal third-quarter loss of $5 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Draper, Utah-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 35 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 34 cents per share.

The provider of services for managing health care accounts posted revenue of $180 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $185 million.

HealthEquity expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.30 to $1.35 per share, with revenue in the range of $750 million to $755 million.
