Taisei Corporation (TSE:1801) agreed to acquire 17.39% stake in Heiwa Real Estate Co., Ltd. (TSE:8803) from Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. (TSE:8802), Simplex Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Simplex Asset Management (HK) Company Limited on June 7, 2024. Post the closing of these transaction, Taisei will become one of the Heiwa?s major shareholders holding 20.12% of the voting rights, after acquisition of treasury stock. The expected completion of the transaction is June 10, 2024.
Taisei Corporation (TSE:1801) completed the acquisition of 17.39% stake in Heiwa Real Estate Co., Ltd. (TSE:8803) from Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. (TSE:8802), Simplex Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Simplex Asset Management (HK) Company Limited for ¥29.22 billion on June 10, 2024. As part of the transaction, Taisei acquired 1.09% stake from Mitsubishi and 16.03% stake from Simplex.
HEIWA REAL ESTATE CO.,LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in leasing business and real estate solution business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Leasing segment specializes in the development, leasing, management and operation of stock exchanges, offices, commercial facilities and housing. The Real Estate Solution segment is engaged in the development, sales, operation and management of real estates for revenue, development and sales of residential houses as well as real estate agency business. The Others businesses include the maintenance and repair of building equipment, contract work for repair, insurance agency business, etc.
