Herc Holdings Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was USD 519.6 million compared to USD 402.3 million a year ago. Revenue was USD 550.4 million compared to USD 456.7 million a year ago. Net income was USD 72.3 million compared to USD 39.9 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.44 compared to USD 1.37 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.37 compared to USD 1.35 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 1,368 million compared to USD 1,116.4 million a year ago. Revenue was USD 1,495.1 million compared to USD 1,260.9 million a year ago. Net income was USD 152.3 million compared to USD 38.2 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 5.15 compared to USD 1.31 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 5.01 compared to USD 1.3 a year ago.
Herc Holdings Inc. is an equipment rental supplier. The Company offers a portfolio of equipment for rent. In addition to its principal business of equipment rental, the Company sells used equipment and contractor supplies such as construction consumables, tools, small equipment and safety supplies; provides repair, maintenance, equipment management services and safety training to certain of its customers; offers equipment re-rental services and provides on-site support to its customers, and provides ancillary services such as equipment transport, rental protection, cleaning, refueling and labor. Its fleet includes aerial, earthmoving, material handling, trucks and trailers, air compressors, compaction and lighting. Its ProContractor business focuses on professional-grade tools and equipment, and offers industry-specific solutions-based services, which include power generation, climate control, remediation and restoration, pumps, trench shoring, studio and production equipment.
