Hero MotoCorp Ltd. will extend the closure of its plants across India by six days, to May 9, in a bid to help limit the spread of Covid-19, the Indian motorcycle maker said Saturday.
Hero MotoCorp also said it sold 372,285 motorcycles and scooters in April, which was subdued due to the closure of plants and retail outlets.
The company said the figure isn't comparable with the same month a year earlier, when no vehicles were made or shipped to dealers because of the nationwide lockdown.
