New whole grain rich Viking Brand lineup meets USDA Whole Grain and Alliance for a Healthier Generation Guidelines

DANVERS, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 2013-- High Liner Foods, Inc., the leading value-added seafood supplier in North America, today announced the addition of Sa-Weet! Potato Crusted Seafood™ to its VikingBrand portfolio.

Designed for the K-12 and healthcare foodservice segments, the new Sa-Weet! Potato Crusted line is made of MSC-certified Alaskan Pollock coated with a crust made of real sweet potatoes, nutmeg and cinnamon, giving a sweet but nutritious option to foodservice operators. The new product lineup will be available in nuggets, sticks, fillets and portions. The sweet potato offerings meet the Alliance for a Healthier Generation Guidelines and are aligned with the USDA whole grain guidelines for the 2014 school year.
