HItachi Terminal Solutions (Thailand) Co. said it received an order for ATM outsourcing from Thailand's state-owned Government Savings Bank in a partnership with Platt Nera International Ltd.

Hitachi Terminal Solutions, a unit of Hitachi Omron Terminal Solutions Corp., said it will provide GSB asset provision, operations, monitoring and maintenance of 2,900 ATMs for five years.

GSB now becomes the first bank in that country to outsource a major part of its ATM assets.

"The company is very proud to receive an order for comprehensive ATM outsourcing services from GSB for the first time in Thailand," Keita Tada, managing director, Hitachi Terminal Solutions (Thailand), said in a company release. "Hitachi Terminal solutions will establish a large-scale ATM monitoring center in Thailand, and provide high-quality, improved services to GSB."

Thailand has about 60,000 ATMs in operation nationwide, according to the company.
