Hitachi Metals, Ltd. (hereinafter, "Hitachi Metals") hereby announces that it will participate in "The 52nd International Paris Air Show" which will take place at Le Bourget Airport (located in the suburbs of Paris, France) from Monday, June 19 to Sunday, June 25, 2017.


　The International Paris Air Show is one of the largest international aviation and aerospace exhibitions in the world, in which aircraft manufacturers and related companies worldwide participate to exhibit their newest products and technologies, and this year marks the 52nd such exhibition.

　Hitachi Metals develops growth strategies in the fields of aircraft and energy-related materials, seeking growth in the global market. As part of its efforts, Hitachi Metals established Japan Aeroforge Ltd. (hereinafter, "J-forge") jointly with Kobe Steel, Ltd., etc. in 2011. Equipped with a 50,000-ton hydraulic forging press, one of the largest in the world, J-forge manufactures large forgings used in planes, etc. In 2014, Hitachi Metals converted Hitachi Metals MMC Superalloy, Ltd. (hereinafter, "Hitachi Metals MMC Superalloy") into a subsidiary to steadily implement its growth strategy by enhancing the integrated production system in the aircraft and energy-related materials business ranging from materials to forging.

　Hitachi Metals Group will participate in the International Paris Air Show for the second time following the previous air show. The technologies and products of the Group to be exhibited will include excellent high-temperature resistance alloys produced at Yasugi Works; large ring rolling mills introduced to Hitachi Metals MMC Superalloy; and J-forge's 50,000-ton forging press, all of which will contribute to further progress in the development of aircraft engines.
