HITIQ Limited has entered into an agreement with Scottish Rugby (SR) commencing September 2021. This collaboration will see HITIQ's Nexus A9 head impact sensor technology used in a trial across selected Scottish Rugby professional rugby programs. Rugby Union is the large non-helmeted contact sport in the world, boasting more than 29,000 registered professional players and 3.2m registered amateur players. This collaboration supports HITIQ's strategic data acquisition program and enriches the Company's growing Rugby Union technology footprint by adding more than 120 elite players, spanning: Scotland Men's National Squad, Scotland Women's National Squad, Scotland 7s, Edinburgh Rugby. This collaboration is significant for HITIQ as it provides visible representation within established Northern Hemisphere rugby competitions including the Six Nations, the United Rugby Championship as well as the International 7s Rugby circuit. Scottish Rugby intends to use HITIQ's technology to measure and compare all aspects of game and training head impact loads. Their ambition is to review and enhance player welfare standards within their high-performance programs. This collaboration will span the entirety of the 2021/22 Six Nations and United Rugby Championships competitions, with the latter concluding in June 2022. During the trial period, the SR and HITIQ will aim to discuss a longer term commercial agreement to commence post completion of the trial.
