Hoa Phat : introduces PC strand pre-stressed steel cable products to construction experts

Hoa Phat Metal Producing Company has recently introduced its PC Strand pre-stressed steel cable products to the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Construction Design and Investment Consulting Company (CDC) under the Ministry of Construction. The presentation was attended by a team of engineers and experts specializing in structural design and construction.

Hoa Phat's Prestressed Steel Factory, located in the Dung Quat Economic Zone, is equipped to produce 7-strand PC Strand cables in sizes ranging from 9.3mm to 15.7mm, meeting international standards including ASTM A416 (USA), BS 5896 (UK), EN-10138-3 (EU), or tailored to customer specifications. Hoa Phat's prestressed steel has been successfully exported to high-demand markets such as the USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, and various countries and regions across Asia, including Taiwan, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar.

Domestically, Hoa Phat's PC Strand steel has been utilized in key infrastructure projects, including the North-South Expressway, the Bung-Vung Ang section, the National Highway 5 - Nghi Son, the Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway, the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant, the Tia Wellness Da Nang Tourist Area, Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital, Nam Nghi - Dong Thap Bridge, Kenh Te Bridge, District 8, Tan An - Long An Embankment, and the Thuan An - Hue Sea Embankment, among others.

Compared to imported products from Thailand, Malaysia, or China, Hoa Phat's PC Strand steel exhibits comparable mechanical properties, including tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and unit weight, all of which meet the required standards. A key advantage of Hoa Phat's PC Strand steel is its low stress sag, which helps reduce stress loss over time, enhancing load-bearing capacity-a feature highly valued by design and construction professionals.
