Makamer Holdings, Inc. Announces Executive Changes

On April 1, 2021, at the Effective Time of the Merger, Peter L. Coker, Jr., Makamer Holdings, Inc.'s Chief Executive Officer resigned from the Company. Mr. Coker's resignation was effected in connection with the Merger and not as a result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies or practices. In connection with Mr. Coker's resignation, he relinquished his roles as the Company's “Principal Executive Officer” and “Principal Financial and Accounting Officer” for SEC reporting purposes. Effective immediately upon Mr. Coker's resignation, Alex Mond was appointed as the Company's Chief Executive Officer. In connection with his appointments, Mr. Mond was designated as the “Principal Executive Officer” of the Company for SEC reporting purposes. The Company intends to enter into an employment agreement with Mr. Mond as soon as practicable.
Alex Mond, 66, has served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer for Makamer since September 2021. The Board believes Mr. Mond's extensive knowledge and background with regard to plant-based materials, along with his ability to build a strong team and execute his vison, will aid the Company to succeed going forward.
Makamer Holdings, Inc., formerly Hometown International, Inc., is a bioplastic technologies company. The Company specializes in the development of hemp-based polymers that are fully composable within four months and leave no trace toxins or microplastics behind. The Company's proprietary hemp-based resin was developed in order to provide alternatives to non-compostable food packaging materials on the market. Its resin can be utilized to produce a range of products that would replace polyethylene plastic bags, polypropylene cups, recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) water bottles and many other products. The Company through its wholly owned subsidiary, Your Hometown Deli, LLC (Your Hometown Deli), which operates a delicatessen store that features home-style sandwiches and other entrees in a casual and friendly atmosphere. The store is designed to offer local patrons of all ages with a comfortable community gathering places.
