BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) _ Homology Medicines Inc. (FIXX) on Monday reported a loss of $30.6 million in its third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Bedford, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 54 cents.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 60 cents per share.

The gene editing company posted revenue of $1.7 million in the period.
