Honda Motor signs software development partnership with KPIT

Honda Motor Co Ltd - Tokyo-based carmaker - Agrees software development partnership with KPIT Technologies Ltd, a software integration specialist for the automotive and mobility industry. Says through this partnership, the two companies will bring together "respective strengths", with KPIT planning to increase the number of its vehicle system software development experts to a level close to 2,000 by 2030.

Additionally, Honda Motor announces the key next steps in preparing its US electric vehicle production hub in Ohio. Back in October, Honda said it would invest USD700 million to "re-tool several of its existing auto and powertrain plants to build the new EV Hub in Ohio, to prepare for the production of battery electric vehicles in 2026".
