Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) announced that Mr. Yiu Ka Yan, Wilfred will retire on 31 December 2024 and will step down from all his positions held within the HKEX group. These positions include Deputy Chief Executive, Co-Chief Operating Officer and Co-Head of Markets of HKEX. The Board would like to express its gratitude to Mr. Yiu for his many contributions during his employment with HKEX, supporting the continued resilience and attractiveness of HKEX's markets.

Ms. Lau Bik Yun, Vanessa, currently Co-Chief Operating Officer and Group Chief Financial Officer of HKEX, will become sole Chief Operating Officer in addition to her existing role as Group Chief Financial Officer of HKEX. Such appointments have been approved in writing by the Securities and Futures Commission pursuant to sections 26 and 70 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance and they will become effective on 1 January 2025.
