13 August 2019: Hostelworld, the global hostel‐focussed online booking platform, is pleased to announce the appointment of Evan Cohen as an Independent Non‐Executive Director of the Company effective from 14 August 2019. Evan will also join the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination committees.

Evan is a management and strategy consultant with over 20 years' experience in the technology sector. Most recently, he had operational responsibility for ride hailing company Lyft's entire US East Coast business. He was the sixth ever full‐time employee at the location‐based mobile service provider, Foursquare, from 2010‐2014, holding the role of Chief Operating Officer most recently and has held senior strategic consulting and operational roles at Bebo, Jupiter and MTM. Evan also advises start‐ups through his own strategic consulting business, EVCO Advisory Services.

The Company confirms there are no further disclosures to be made in connection with Mr Evan Cohen's appointment pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules.
