Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd. (SHSE:600801) has signed an agreement to acquire 83.81% stake in Lafarge Africa Plc (NGSE:WAPCO) from Holcim AG (SWX:HOLN) on December 1, 2024. Holcim has signed an agreement with Huaxin Cement Ltd to sell its entire 83.81% shareholding in Lafarge Africa, at an equity value of $1 billion on a 100% basis. The transaction is subject to approval by regulatory board / committee.
The transaction is expected to close in 2025.
