Sweden's Husqvarna says component shortage hits Q2 production

COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Husqvarna's production in the second quarter has been constrained by continued component supply shortage, the world's biggest maker of gardening power equipment said on Monday as it posted preliminary quarterly sales.

Second-quarter sales by the Swedish company were estimated at 15.5 billion crowns ($1.53 billion), including the Orbit Irrigation acquisition, missing a forecast for 16.4 billion crowns according to Refinitiv Eikon data.

"The strong demand for our robotic mowers continues but low production in the second quarter has resulted in a continued record high order backlog," Chief Executive Henric Andersson said in a statement.

The company will release its full quarterly report on July 15.
