Iberdrola SA said Monday that it has reached an agreement with CEE Equity Partners Ltd to acquire three onshore wind farms with a total capacity of 163 megawatts in Poland.
The Spanish energy company said two of the projects are already operational, while the third one will start construction shortly. Production from the facilities is largely already covered by 10-year power-purchase agreements, it said.
The projects will be incorporated into the Baltic Sea Hub, which will act as a centre for Iberdrola's wind-energy activities in Germany, Poland and Sweden, the company said.
