Icelandair : More diversity with pre-purchased meals

In line with customer request for more diversity in its Economy Class menu, Icelandair will now offer passengers to pre-purchase meals before flight. The pre-purchase will be available in the booking process and passengers can also add meals in "My Journey " on the Icelandair website up until 24 hours before departure. This way Icelandair can offer increased diversity of meals, for example a three-course menu, an open sandwich as well as vegan and low carb options. Passengers that choose not to pre-purchase their meals, will be able to purchase light snacks on board.

The change is in line with Icelandair's sustainability goals with the objective of reducing food waste as well as aircraft load. At the same time, new, environmentally friendly food packaging will be introduced.

The changed meal services will be offered from March 2^nd.
