ICI Pakistan Pharmaceuticals in collaboration with AstraZeneca UK Limited, recently donated 10,000 KN95 masks to the Drug Regulatory Authority, Ministry of National Health Services of Pakistan in response to calls for personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers and other frontline responders battling COVID-19 across the country. As of Monday, June 1, 2020, Pakistan had con?rmed more than 72,000 novel coronavirus cases.

He further added that, "ICI Pakistan and AstraZeneca have had a longstanding relationship and are constantly collaborating in their efforts to bring improved medical solutions to patients across Pakistan".

Since the ?rst case of coronavirus was reported in Pakistan, ICI Pakistan Pharmaceuticals has donated PPEs to the Government and various institutions, having committed close to PKR 10 million to this effort. As member of the Pharma Bureau Pakistan, the Company has also participated in the effort to help equip the COVID-19 unit at the Civil Hospital, Karachi.
