Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment S p A : The life of Roberto Cavalli becomes a film

Based on the autobiography Just Me!, it will be filmed in Italy in March 2022

ILBE (Iervolino and Lady Bacardi Entertainment), a company listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market of Borsa Italiana, announces the production of a new film on the life and career of fashion designer Roberto Cavalli.

After the biographical film dedicated to Ferruccio Lamborghini, which completed shooting in October, ILBE continues to tell the stories of some of the trailblazers of Italian tradition, society and entrepreneurship who represent the genius of our country, through films entirely Made in Italy but intended for the international market.

The film on Roberto Cavalli will be directed by Giulio Base, who also wrote the screenplay, and will take its title from the designer's autobiography, which the script is based on: Just Me!, whose rights were optioned by ILBE from Company Freedom s.r.l. Filming will begin in March 2022 in Italy.

ILBE President and founder Andrea Iervolino commented: "Roberto Cavalli is a fashion icon whose incredible life cannot be replicated. However, it can be told in a truthful and entertaining way, and that is what we will do with this film. Monika Bacardi and I are very excited to tell this story and we believe that the audience will be fascinated by Roberto's life".

The film will retrace the fashion icon's personal and professional adventure: his childhood memories, the premature death of his father - who was murdered by German soldiers in 1944, when Roberto Cavalli was just three years old - the war, his carefree youth in Via Maragliano in Florence, his first loves, his friends, and finally his journey into the world of fashion, from the early days to his international success.
