Ilkka Yhtyma Oyj reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of EUR 9,469,000 against EUR 9,748,000 for the same period of last year. Operating profit was EUR 2,504,000 against EUR 3,658,000 for the same period of last year. Profit before tax was EUR 2,439,000 against EUR 2,782,000 for the same period of last year. Profit for the period under review was EUR 2,258,000 against EUR 2,510,000 for the same period of last year. Earnings per share, undiluted were EUR 0.09 against EUR 0.10 for the same period of last year.
For the nine months, the company reported net sales of EUR 29,386,000 against EUR 30,460,000 for the same period of last year. Operating profit was EUR 5,728,000 against EUR 7,699,000 for the same period of last year. Profit before tax was EUR 4,172,000 against EUR 6,923,000 for the same period of last year. Profit for the period under review was EUR 4,051,000 against EUR 6,276,000 for the same period of last year. Earnings per share, undiluted were EUR 0.16 against EUR 0.24 for the same period of last year. Cash flow from operations was EUR 2,712,000 against EUR 3,761,000 for the same period of last year. Investments in tangible and intangible assets, net were EUR 690,000 against EUR 406,000 for the same period of last year.

The Publishing segment comprises the activities of subsidiary I-Mediat Oy, responsible for publishing regional (Ilkka and Pohjalainen) and local newspapers (Viiskunta, Komiat, Jarviseutu, Suupohjan Sanomat and Jurvan Sanomat), as well as free sheets (Vaasan Ikkuna and Etela-Pohjanmaa).
