FONDAZIONE ILLIMITY IS BORN

FOR THE REGENERATION OF REAL ESTATE ASSETS

TO BE USED FOR SOCIAL AND SUSTAINABLE PROJECTS (ESG)

The foundation will foster the development of an ecosystem of partnerships to create a virtuous circle of projects and initiatives having particular social impact.

Milan, 15 June 2021 - illimity Bank S.p.A. ("illimity" or the "Bank") has established fondazione illimity (the "illimity foundation" or "foundation"), set up with the aim of creating new spaces of inclusion, cohesion and shared well-being through the regeneration of real estate assets to be allocated to socially useful projects, with specific emphasis on sustainability issues (ESG).

The foundation is a separate and independent body from the illimity Group, a bank founded with a clear mission: to recognise and enhance the potential of people, families and businesses. For illimity, generating value does not simply mean making profits, but also being useful. This mission, deeply rooted in illimity, is confirmed by the formation of the illimity foundation, established to recognize the potential of real estate assets to be transformed into new spaces capable of creating value for the community.

The illimity foundation will operate at national level through partnerships, acting as a catalyst and enabler of an ecosystem of social businesses, non-profit organisations and public and private entities interested in supporting specific projects related to the regenerated asset. The combination of interests, the identification of common needs and the development of new networks and relations interconnected with the regenerated space will create synergies that can be placed at the service of the community.

The foundation, also through its partners, will design and foster projects for the creation of social value, redeveloping properties and creating benefits for communities and businesses, also through collaboration with research centres, institutes and universities. Projects with a social impact ranging from social housing to the creation of new spaces of inclusion, cohesion, shared value and common well-being.

In performing its activities, the foundation will rely on the services of professionals with extensive experience in social planning and impact-finance initiatives, as well as the contribution of illimity's staff, who will also provide technical, administrative and operational support services and provide the necessary tools to carry out the activities of the foundation. In addition, the Bank will financially support the foundation's activities which may also benefit from private contributions.

The foundation is led by a Board of Directors that is attentive to social, sustainability (ESG) and urban regeneration issues and is composed by the Chairman Giancarlo Bruno and the Directors Cristina Gabetti, Isabella Falautano, Paolo Mazzoleni and Francesco Mele, with Giovanni Lombardi operating as Secretary and General Manager. Corrado Passera, illimity's CEO, stated: "The illimity foundation is a good fit with our bank's

identity: bringing the most out of hidden potential and making profits by doing useful things. It is our aim with the initiative of the foundation to reaffirm this mission of social utility, deeply rooted throughout the Group, aiming at restoring value to existing assets by recognising their potential. In this respect the projects fostered by the foundation will have the objective of reinventing spaces in order to convert them into places of inclusion capable of generating a positive and sustainable impact on communities also through a very open ecosystem of partnerships".

Rosalba Casiraghi, illimity's chairperson, commented: "The creation of the foundation is the factual demonstration that we turn the principles and values, with which illimity identifies itself, into effective and practical reality. The regeneration of real estate assets for use in social utility projects, achieved through the foundation's contribution, is another step in our commitment to the surrounding community".
