Imaspro Corporation Berhad reported un-audited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of MYR 32,628,000 compared to MYR 38,030,000, profit before tax of MYR 4,044,000 compared to MYR 3,682,000 and profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent of MYR 3,177,000 or 3.97 sen per basic share compared to MYR 2,947,000 or 3.68 sen per basic share for the last year. Revenue decreased 14.2% due mainly to revenue in the Malaysia segment decreased by 26.4% as compared to the preceding year corresponding quarter. The decrease in revenue in the Malaysia segment was due to the prolonged drought conditions. For the quarter, the revenue in the overseas segment also decreased by 7.5% largely due to extreme dry spells in the Asia region causing lesser pest and diseases, translating into lesser demand for insecticides products.

For the nine months, the company reported revenue of MYR 82,252,000 compared to MYR 78,236,000, profit before tax of MYR 10,183,000 compared to MYR 7,019,000 and profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent of MYR 7,932,000 or 9.92 sen per basic share compared to MYR 5,552,000 or 6.94 sen per basic share for the last year. Net cash generated from operating activities was MYR 9,706,000 against net cash used in operating activities of MYR 90,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 5,882,000 against MYR 860,000 a year ago. Profit after tax increased due mainly to higher sales margin achieved.
