International stocks trading in New York closed mixed on Friday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 0.2% to 140.60. The European index increased 0.9% to 132.82, the Asian index dropped 0.9% to 169.01, the Latin American index rose 0.6% to 183.52 and the emerging markets index decreased 1.6% to 283.08.

IMI PLC and Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA were among the companies with ADRs that traded actively.

ADRs of IMI rose 6.7% after the U.K. specialist engineering company said that for the six months ended June 30, revenue rose 7.2%. The board also proposed an interim 5% dividend increase.

ADRs of Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA rose 2.7% after its fourth-quarter revenue rose to EUR703.7 million (US$719.6 million)from EUR664.8 million, as consumer finance loans increased 9%.

ADRs of International Consolidated Airlines Group SA fell 2%. The company said Friday that it returned to profit in the second quarter for the first time since the pandemic started.
